2018 Wrap Up

YEAR END WRAP UP

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a great holiday season, and that you're settling in for winter! It's been a little while, but we just wanted to wrap up a very busy 2018 for Nick and The Deps!

AUTUMN EUROPEAN TOUR WRAP UP

Nick had a blast playing a number of acoustic shows in Holland, Germany, Poland, Scotland, England, and British Columbia in September/October. It was a long haul, but the shows were amazing and Nick was privileged to get to perform in front of, share the stage with, and meet so many amazing new friends! Big thanks to the AMAZING Skye Wallace for all of her hard work in helping to set up the tour, and to Borowka Music in Poland as well! See below for some photos from the tour.

Nick was also fortunate to play a really fun set at the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, Germany. It's pretty cool when you play a set at noon on a Thursday and the venue is packed to watch you play! Nick also got to attend networking sessions in Berlin at the Canadian Embassy and in Hamburg as well, as part of CIMA's Canada House export missions. Big thanks to FACTOR, Creative Saskatchewan, and SaskMusic for all their support in helping Nick and the band develop new markets for their music!

While in Poland, Nick got to play a song for Balcony TV Poznan. Check out the video below!

SASKATCHEWAN MUSIC AWARD NOMINATIONS / BEST ALBUMS OF 2018

It was a pretty nice thing to have been nominated with AMAZING fellow artists/bands for "Alternative Artist of The Year" at the inaugural Saskatchewan Music Awards. Congrats to our pals in Bears in Hazenmore, Megan Nash, The Garrys, and the winners, Close Talker for their nominations!

We were also grateful to be acknowledged as one of Saskmusic's 40-best albums of the year. That was nice!

THE LINE OF BEST FIT - OH CANADA 32

Big thanks to The Line of Best Fit for including our song in their playlist back in October alongside some real great artists! Click HERE to check out the playlist!

BEST OF REGINA SPOTIFY PLAYLIST

The band is really proud to be a part of such a robust music scene in Regina, and Nick made a Spotify playlist to celebrate all of the amazing releases that came out in 2018. Listen below!

Thanks so much to everyone who supported us in 2018! 2019 will be a little bit more chill, as the band writes and prepares for whatever next release we can come up with. Thanks for listening to "Stumbling Distance", and we'll see you next year! :)
